Businesses urged to review security after change in terrorist threat level

Businesses are being urged by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) to review their security stance and continuity planning to reflect the recent change in the UK’s terrorist threat level. This raise from ‘substantial’ to ‘severe’ follows recent developments in Syria and Iraq.

Directing companies to review the current security they have in place, NaCTSO suggest considering extra security measures that may be proportionate or necessary.

The public are also being urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police through the anti-terrorist hotline on 0800 789 321.
